High-Efficiency Hammer Mill for Fine Sand Processing - China Suppliers and Factory Direct Sale
Working Principle
Kemai HM series hammer mill is mainly composed of a shell, a rotor, a bearing iron and a grate. The shell is divided into two parts, which are welded by cutting steel plates, and the other parts are connected by bolts. The interior of the case is inlaid with high manganese steel liner, easy to replace after wear; An array of hammers with regular distribution is installed on the spindle, and a rotor is formed with a turntable and a hammer shaft. The main engine drives the main shaft through the motor and the triangle belt, so that the rotor rotates, the hammer head is extended to all sides by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation, and the large material enters the crushing chamber from the feed port, and is smashed by the high-speed hammer. The crushed qualified material is discharged by the grate with gaps at the bottom, and the unqualified material is left in the crushing chamber, and is repeatedly acted on by the hammer and the bearing iron block until it can be discharged qualified. In order to avoid clogging, the water content of the crushed material is generally not more than 5%.
Characteristic and feature of HM series hammer mill
(1) Low energy consumption, grinding system power consumption is 20 ~ 30% lower than the ball mill, and with the increase of raw material water, the energy-saving effect is more obvious.
(2) The wearing parts are made of special raw materials, and the service life of the wearing parts can generally reach more than one year, and the service life can reach 2-5 years when processing calcium carbonate and calcite.
(3) It is equipped with a limiting mechanism to prevent direct contact between the roller sleeve and the mill liner, to avoid destructive and violent vibration caused by friction and collision between metals, and to increase safety.
(4) HM hammer mill uses a fully sealed system, the system operates under negative pressure, no dust, clean environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the energy-saving capability of the HM series hammer mill?
The grinding system of the HM series hammer mill consumes 20% to 30% less power than a traditional ball mill. The energy-saving effect becomes even more pronounced as the water content of the raw material increases.
How long do the wearing parts of the HM hammer mill typically last?
Made from special raw materials, the wearing parts generally have a service life of over one year. When processing materials like calcium carbonate and calcite, their service life can extend to 2-5 years.
What safety features prevent metal friction and vibration in the mill?
The machine is equipped with a limiting mechanism that prevents direct contact between the roller sleeve and the mill liner. This design avoids violent, destructive vibrations caused by metal-on-metal friction and collision, thereby increasing operational safety.
Does the HM series hammer mill control dust emissions?
Yes, the HM hammer mill employs a fully sealed system that operates under negative pressure. This prevents dust leakage, ensuring a clean and environmentally friendly workspace.
What is the maximum allowable moisture content for raw materials?
To prevent clogging in the crushing chamber, the water content of the processed material should generally not exceed 5%.
How does the hammer mill handle unqualified materials during crushing?
Qualified materials are immediately discharged through the bottom grate gaps. Unqualified, oversized materials remain in the chamber, where they are repeatedly struck by the hammer and bearing iron block until they are small enough to be discharged.
